Spat between RSRTC bus conductor, Haryana police woman over bus fare triggers challans

JAIPUR: A video of a spat between a woman police officer posted in Haryana and a conductor of Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation (RSRTC) bus has surfaced and gone viral. The result is now RSRTC buses from various depots are being penalised in Haryana.
Senior officers of the RSRTC management said they will examine the matter and discuss it with Haryana police and other officials. Though the RSRTC management refrained from commenting further about the video, the bus, and its route, they maintained that for the past two days, their buses have been targeted in Haryana and Delhi.
According to an estimate by the RSRTC, around 50 buses from various depots, including Jaipur and Jaipur Deluxe, have been penalised for drivers not in uniform, not using seat belt, and other violations.
Buses from depots, including Alwar and Jaipur to Haryana, have been penalised, and RSRTC officials alleged that even Delhi police are also issuing these challans. . "We have alerted all our drivers going to Haryana and Delhi and have asked them to follow traffic rules. They have been instructed to be in uniform, keep their driving licences with them, use seat belts, and drive in the prescribed lane, pick up passengers from designated spots only," said a senior officer of RSRTC.
Corporation's managing director said, "I have also come across this information. I will examine the whole matter and seek a report. Thereafter, we will have a word with the authorities to resolve the issue. At the same time, the drivers have been instructed to follow every traffic rule to avoid challans."
How the dispute started: A woman employee of Haryana police was travelling on a Rajasthan roadways bus. She argued with the conductor over not paying the fare. The video of this argument went viral on social media two days ago. The dispute escalated to the point where the conductor stopped the bus. However, the woman police officer still did not pay the fare.
